Manu Temple is the only temple in India at Kullu Manali region, It is known that Manu was the creator of himan race and Manali is named after the sage Manu. This temple is famous among foriegners and they cant miss this tourist place being in Manali. That is why some popular italian, chinese speciality restaurant are there nearby this area to feel comfort for foriegners.Though temple is situated in a congested area, visitors from across the world comes to see it.

The beautiful location of Manu Temple, on the bank side of river Beas, adds to its attraction. There is a waterfall near Manu temple which you can see but cannot reach there as it is on heights. The temple was rebuilt in the year 1992, when the vaulted ceiling and marble floors were added.

The temple also attracts tourists from different parts of the world due to the fact that it is the only existing temple in the country dedicated to the worship of the Rishi Manu. According to Hindu mythology, Manu sage is considered to be the originator of the human race. It is believed that this place is closely related to the seventh incarnation of the great sage. Mythology says that he saved the Vedas and the seven sages from this inundation. It is assumed that subsequent to the great flood, Manu landed at Manali and then lived here.

To reach the temple, one has to walk through the slippery stone paths that lie before the temple premises. The temple is surrounded by greenery in the form of pine trees and moss and makes for a very scenic view. The temple structure is made completely of stone and beautiful engravings of gods and goddesses can be seen in the stone walls. There are also many exquisitely made stone sculptures placed around the temple that warrant a viewing. The ancient temple is a prominent place of worship of the local people of Manali who arrive everyday to offer their prayer to the creator of mankind.
